Adele, the wonderful creature that she is, has released her official video for her single "Rolling In The Deep" off her new album, 21, which is due February 22, 2011.

Adele's powerful voice is enought to make you cry but director Sam Brown did an AMAZING job bring this song to life by using subtle yet sharp visual cues.

The beautiful Willow Smith recently interviewed with Yahoo Music and discussed a plethora of topics.

The little "Diva In Training" talked about everything from her parents to whether or not she will remake her father’s 1988 hit, “Parents Just Don’t Understand”.

Christmas 2010 Is Gone Already?

This Christmas has come and gone so quickly! I can't believe the new year is 5 days away, I remember it being Jan 1, 2010 like yesterday. Wow...

Anywho, I spent my Christmas on my bed then huddled up on my mom's bed for the day. It was nice and quiet, there was none of that family drama I talked about earlier last week.

After laying with my mom and watching t.v, we went to visit my god-mother and had fun eating cookies, playing board games, and cards... All while watching the Beyonce Takeover on FUSE! Now THAT's how you spend Christmas ;-)

Kerry Washionton In The L.A Times Magazine

My girl crush, Kerry Washington, did an AMAZING shoot with  Ruben Afanador in the December issue of the LA Times magazine.

She shot the cover nude (tastefully) and the rest of the shots were jam packed with fierce fashion from start to finish.

The article is centered around her newest film, Night Catches Us, a dark and inspiring play that is centered around political issues. Kerry is no stranger to political vocality. Aside from her body of film work, she was  appointmented to Obama's Committee on the Arts and Humanities.

In the film Kerry plays a single mom, and former Black Panther living in 1970s Philadelphia, raising an inquisitive African-American girl in an era when police brutality was common.

Total Lunar Eclipse

Taken outside my apartment building...

Last night I got to witness the total lunar eclipse. I've never seen an eclipse (lunar or solar) so it was pretty cool to see.

The lunar eclpise takes more than three hours for the Earth's shadow to pass over the moon. When the Eclipse first started I went outside to see.it. I decided that I would monitor the eclipse on NASA's Ustreem feed because it was COLD outside.

Apparently, full lunar eclipses happen once a year (with partial ones happening more frequently), but this one was rare because it landed on the winter solstice. The solstice is the shortest day of the year, when the moon is high in the sky.


The last time that happened was Dec. 21, 1638. And the next time will be Dec. 21, 2094. Amazing, I decided to wake my brother up to cme see it. We got to see history :-)

Fun Fact: The reason the moon turned red is because the rim of the planet was on fire! As you scan your eye around Earth's circumference on the moon, you're seeing every sunrise and every sunset in the world, all of them, all at once. This incredible light beams into the heart of Earth's shadow, filling it with a coppery glow and transforming the Moon into a great red orb.

The Holidays

The holidays are swiftly approaching and that means a few things for some of us:

• Good food
• Nice gifts
• Skinny…bank accounts
• Family members we can’t stand and wish would go away and not come back don’t always agree with.

Why are the holidays notorious for these family blow ups, passive aggressive arguments, and loud aunts/uncles whom you wish would put down the bubbly and pick up some cider.

Everyone jokes about it but seriously sit and think about this question. Why are the holidays so messy? I am beginning to think it's a conspiracy between the holiday folks and therapists...

My family is the typical family, sweet and DYSFUNCTIONAL! Although we’re not horrible (there are never any fights) we are a tad catty sometimes… That’s what you get with a family full of women! I mean I love these people but they get on the nerve that is AFTER the last.

For me, I like holidays spent on a tropical island doing nothing but soaking up vitamin D and coconut juice… Unfortunately, I haven’t had one of those in years but I am still holding out hope. Every year I say “next year! I am going away next year” and where am I? Right here in good old, cold a*s, snowy a*s Brooklyn.

What Did I Do On My Bday? Go Pole Dancing Of Course!

My birthday was last Sunday, and what better way to celebrate than go POLE DANCING CLASSES!

My girls and I took an hourlong class at NY Pole Dancing at it was the best hour EVER!

This is my first "Look Of The Day"... I don't really know what i am doing :-)

This is not today's look, it is from Wednesday my last day of classes.

My team won our senior thesis competition so that was really exciting.

Anyway, I bought this dress, on sale, from ASOS and i love it. The fabric is so soft and light.

The cut of the dress is really flattering.

My blazer is from some no name store but I embellished them with studs on the lapels.

My eyeshodow is Precious Metals by MAX Factor. I have a bunch of these tri-tone palattes and I love them.

I used a silver creme shadow as a base, then i layered the silver and black on top.

Sidenote: Excuse my eyebrows... it has been a while lol

My lips were glossed with Docile by Mac.

Vashtie Kola And The Air Jordan Retro 2 = DOPE

Vashtie Kola and Jordan released the Air Jordan Retro 2 shoe a few months ago (October 2nd). The partnership between Jordan and Vashtie is groundbreaking; Vashtie is the first female to personally design a shoe for the brand!

Vashtie Kola is already an artist, videographer, and fashion designer. On top of that, after meeting her at my internship, I can say she is a down to earth sweetheart!

The sneaker is lavender suede, and silver bottoms, with violet stitching and sole. She seemed to have drawn the inspiration for the shoe color from her own company Violette.

Now I am by no means a sneaker feign, but I do enjoy my occasional funky sneaker-wear.

These are SUPER cute and I like them even more because they are in my FAVORITE COLOR.. PURPLE!

Vashtie is a dope female, even if you don't like sneakers, you have to respect that she is the first to do it. A true pioneer...

This week's "Throwback Thursday" song is Candle In The Wind by Elton John. As a child, I used to LOVE this song. As a matter of fact, I loved Elton John. I mean come on, look at the above picture, who wouldn't love him!

My cousin sent this to me and I almost lost my marbles...

These shoes are so CUTE!

They're from the Colin Stuart line for Victoria's Secret.

The shoe features elastic straps, and a 5" heel with 1" platform.

I coould definitely get with that... Too bad the color I want (the "fawn") is BACKORDERED until 2/12/2011...
