Remembering Haiti One Year Later. We Can Still See Your Halo

It has been one year today that Haiti suffered the devastaing earthquake that ripped the country further apart.
Following the earthquake, Haiti has most recently been hit with a severe outbreak of Cholera.
When the disaster happened, I was heart broken. What made me feel like there was some hope was the amount of celebrities donating money, supporting the cause, doing benefit concerts etc.

One of my favorites, of course, was Ms Knowles-Carter at the Hope For Haiti Now benefit.
Armed with nothing but a piano and a mic, she sang...

I also loved “Wavin’ Flag”. The song is a remix to the original 'Wavin' Flag' by Ka' naan. It features Canadian artists such as Drake, Kardinal Offishall, Nelly Furtado, Justin Bieber and more...

I will forever love Aderson Cooper for this moment:
Brings tears to my eyes all over again...
Children... their innocence violated...

Some images of the earthquake:

This picture speaks volumes.

This one made me cry and laugh at the same time. He was just sooooooo happy!

The people of Haiti still need help.
There are still bodies in rubble.
About a million people remain homeless.
A large number of children are not in school.
1 million sick and 3,600 dead from Cholera.
Although many have tried to help, efforts to rebuild has been slow due to the extent of the need, politics, and a lack of leadership.

Let us not forget, we all need each other in this life.

And by "thoughts" I do mean thoughts about this post, not a generic "Hey, love your blog, wanna follow each other?!"
