12.12.12 Happy Belated Birthday To Me (Weekly Wrap-up)

My birthday was last week, on 12.12.12!

To celebrate, I decided it was the perfect day to release my eyewear line, Enerjiee. I tabled at my job's holiday marketplace and the feedback was overwhelming! I'm glad I followed through with my plans to release the line because fear had been holding me back. I'll follow up with a post on Enerjiee, but for now, please like the Facebook page and visit the website.

I did not do much for this birthday (shocker) but I do have a few round up pictures.

Trend Alert: Winter White

I''ve never been a fan of wearing white... but somehow, this season, white is seeming super sexy to me. I was browsing the internet and saw a few pieces that I fell in lust with. I may just have to revoke my "no white" rule!

Weekly Wrap-up

Here's the Weekly Wrap-up!
  • I was in a baking mood early in the week, so I decided to bake. All I had was a gingerbread mix... so I made gingerbread cookies! I frosted them with chocolate frosting and sprinkled each with sugar. Yummy!
  • I got a toothache last Sunday night but I thought that it would go away on it's own. Fast-forward to Tuesday and I ended up in the ER pleading with the nurses to yank the wisdom tooth out of my mouth. Although they couldn't, the next day, I went to a dentist clinic and got not one but TWO wisdom teeth pulled! The picture on the left was taken RIGHT after they pulled my teeth. The picture on the right was my saving grace! Thank God for prescription drugs!
  • I snagged my client, Kat Rodriguez, her first magazine cover! She will be the cover girl of the first issue of Fabulize Magazine. The crew was amazing for the day and we got some amazing shots.I'll keep you all updated on the details.
  • The creative director, Kushinda Little, and  decided to have a mini photo shoot ourselves. The stylists Ty and Yasin jumped in and decided to rock some of my Enerjiee eyewear. So cool!
It was an interesting week, but I made it through. Have a wonderful week too.

Oh, and I joined Instagram. You can follow me @EnerjieebBySherine!

Weekly Wrap-up

I know I've been MIA. My sincerest apologies! I'm getting a new computer this week so i'll be able to post more!

In any event, here's the Weekly Wrap-up!

  • I attended a natural hair event that a friend of mine organized. It was a success! I even learned some tips and trick for my hair (even though i'm not 'natural'). I rocked very simple makeup that day, but i had to  have my MAC Ruby Woo lipstick in full effect ;-)
  • I'm in love with grey nail polish. This Essie "Power Clutch" color has been a favorite of mine since i received it from Birchbox.
  • Thanksgiving was awesome! The turkey was good (even though i'm not a turkey kind of girl). It was a great night with lots of laughs!
  • I got this ring last December and I loved it. I found it recently and wore it for a week straight!
  • My job is really big on celebrating cultures, so two weeks ago during the Indian celebration of Diwali, there was a small event in honor of the holiday. I got henna done and it was so cool! I got it on both my right and left hands and can you believe it's STILL on my hands?!
  • My best friend celebrated her 25th "23rd" birthday this week! I decided to celebrate her by baking her a cake, she loved it!

It was a great week, hopefully you all have a wonderful week too!

Out & About: Kanye West x Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Launch Event

This is late, but better late than never!

On October 24,2012, Kanye West and Samsung teamed up to bring NYC an exclusive free concert event to promote the launch of the Galaxy Note 2. The event was held at Skylight at the Moynihan Station. My friend and I knew we were in for a treat from the moment we arrived and saw the dramatic lighting of the venue. Inside was just as awesome.

Inside, event goers were able to play with the new tablets, munch on caviar, sip whatever you liked from the open bar and schmooze with the best of them. Everyone from fashion big wigs and entertainers to techie's walked around the room anticipating the main event. I even bumped into (literally) Jennifer Hudson, spotted Victor Cruz (no cha cha from him though) and reconnected with the editor of Vibe magazine.

Kanye performed an hour long set, filled with all of my favorite hits and a few monologues. I was very demure for most of the night... until Kanye came on stage. Then I turned into the ultimate rapping machine! I was front row during the show and even got a high-five. Ecstatic!

Weekly Wrap-Up

Weekly Wrap-up time!
  • It wasn't last week, but I attended the ASCAP Women Behind The Music event in NYC. As a lover of music and entertainment, it was so empowering to see women in the industry honored for their achievements. Hopefully I will be one of them one day ;-)
  •  I got this "Be A Bombshell' eyeliner in this month's Ipsy bag... LOVE IT!
  • Yesterday, the east coast was assaulted by hurricane Sandy. Fortunately for me and my family, we were unaffected by the storm. We spent the day making cake pops, and watching movies, including my favorite- "Dancehall Queen". The NYC subways are down, so I'm not sure when I will return to work but other people have it worse so I won't complain.
  • It was movie night at my little cousin's school (to celebrate Halloween) and we watched Casper! It was hilarious to hear all the kids scream "Ewwwwww" in unison when Casper kissed Wendy.
  • I wear my Falling Whistle from time to time and I decided to snap a picture of it.
  • I went to the Times Scare haunted house in NYC and had a BLAST! I was admittedly petrified but I lived... I thought I was going to die for a millisecond.... but I'm a thug. Thugs don't cry ;-)

Stay safe and have a great week!

Weekly Wrap-up

Weekly Wrap-up time!
  • Last week was "Advertising Week" in New York. At the last minute, I decided to attend an event at Yotel. Great food, awesome music, and good people. I also bumped into fellow CCNY alum and blogger, Kelly Brown of Masque Magazine! We had a great time!
  • Stylist Ashley L. Dalton and I celebrated my artist Kat Rodriguez's successful show. She performed a full-set at Sullivan Hall in New York City on Friday. I talked about Kat Rodriguez HERE when she released her album in June. As her manager, I couldn't be prouder!
  • I got a free ride to work in a cab that looks like a bull *SMILE* It was sponsored by Big, Rich Texas and I couldn't have been happier (because I was late to work *giggle*)!
  • At my job, they have really cool events! I think I said that last week though... Well, anyway, I attended their Latin cultural event and it was AWESOME! I haven't had a Coke in a bottle in YEARS and they had some. I snatched two!
  • I had to snap a picture of the delicious tofu and Brazilian chocolate that I had last week. So good!
  • My aunt's birthday is on the 13th and I decided to surprise her by traveling to Boston to spend the weekend with her. She was SO happy and I felt SO good that I was able to surprise her. We took the MBTA and I thought their "Charlie Cards" were cute. I have no idea why they call them charlie cards though...

Have a great week!

On Trend: Forever 21 Sneaker Wedges

So, Let me tell you all a story:

I decided to visit Forever 21 last Friday, you know, just to SEE. I had no intention of purchasing anything at all.
*COUGH COUGH*

As I sashayed into the store, my eyes were immediately accosted by something rather small and black on a low shelf in the corner. To my surprise, Forever 21 had wedge sneakers that looked great for their $39.95 price tag!

Surely they wouldn't fit I said to myself... So I picked them up for kicks and carried them around while I browsed the store.

35 minutes, two skirts, three tops, and one legging later... Your City Girl was in the fitting room. You know, just trying on for fun.
*COUGH COUGH*

When I finished trying on all my outfits, I said to myself, "Self, why don't you just try the shoes on. You know, for fun." My self said "Okay."

*COUGH COUGH*

Fast-forward to this very moment and I think we all know what I walked out of the store with *Giggle*
I am head over heels with them, however, I will be DIYing them. I feel like they need a little bit of spice!

If you have any great DIY shoe ideas, feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments!

Weekly Wrap-up

Weekly Wrap-up time!
  • I love tea, I mentioned this before while I was interning at Complex Media. In of my Birchbox's, I received two Le Palais des Thés - Thé du Hammam tea bags but only recently got around to trying them. OH MY GOSH! Talk about delicious! It is a rich blend of Chinese green tea, rose petals, and green dates with a faint overlay of orange flower water. It can be served hot or chilled. If you like teas, you should really try this, I know i'm going to purchase a box.
  • I interviewed with Tamiko White for an assistant position at her WhiteNoise Showroom in August. Little did I know that they would ask to film my interview for Tamiko's new reality show White Noise on ChicRebellion.tv! The interview was very real but Tamiko was super sweet so I didn't even think about the cameras being around. Check it out HERE (fast-forward to the 2:15 mark for my interview). Unfortunately, I had to turn down this internship opportunity but I expect to see and hear a lot more from her. She's an amazing business woman.
  • At my job, they have really cool events and really support indie artists. This group called Basement Batman came to play one afternoon and they were awesome! They have crazy amounts of swag and their music is great too. Check out their Facebook page if you like new music.
  • Speaking of new music, I attended Mel Carter's album listening session for his latest mixtape, Popular Stranger, last week. The party was hosted by Power 105.1 New York radio personality Charlemagne Da God and  LowKey from Youheardthatnew.com. The music was hot! I spoke about Mel a long time ago in my Artist Spotlight section when he released his first mixtape, Certified. He has a great personality (even though he was joking about me being vertically challenged a.k.a short lol) and he has great music. He is definitely on the way to greatness if he keeps working hard.
*Oh, btw... Mel is actually Jay-Z's nephew. I guess the legacy continues...
  • I had a breakfast smoothie and it was so good I had to let you guys know! It consisted of strawberries, spinach, mangoes, pineapples, orange juice, plain yogurt and blueberries. YUMMY!

Hope you all have a productive and amazing week!

What I Want: Over-sized Floppy Hats

I watched a clip of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind recently and could not help but lust for that BEAUTIFUL over-sized hat.

I've always been a tad gaudy (my love of leopard print should have alluded that). I know that these hats fall under gaudy and i am okay with that. Although the summer season officially ended today, I would definitely rock one of these in wool and a sleek trench coat.
*Day dreams* Yes...

Weekly Wrap-up & My Apologies

I haven't posted in about 3 weeks and I feel like a terrible blogger! My apologies, but sometimes life just gets in the way :-(

Remember when I mentioned that I was having some "technical difficulty" a few weeks ago... well that has turned into a technical death

My company is finished. Done. Finitio. Kaput. That's it, Betsy is gone.

She served me well (7 yrs) but now, I'm no longer going to be apart of that PC struggle. I've made up my mind: Mac, here I come!!! Can't wait but please bare with my during this no computer phase.

Now, although I called this a weekly wrap-up, it's not last weeks wrap-up. Don't judge me :-)

  • Labor Day weekend was fun filled! My family from Boston came to spend the week prior and my college friend also came to spend the weekend. Talk about full house!
  • Fellow Blogger Christina, of LoveBrownSugar.com, celebrated her blogs 3 year anniversary! The event was held at the Chelsea Market Inglot Cosmetics  studio location. Lots of great music, bloggers, and makeup were on deck. I volunteered to help her set up and execute the event but had a little time to try some makeup out. In the photo, I have on Inglot Cosmetic's Pacific Blue lipstick and custom eyewear by moi! Christina wanted in on the eyewear too, check her out looking super sexy!
  • I obviously spent a lot of time dancing that weekend *Giggle*
  • My family and I attended the Grenada Vs. St.Lucia soccer game in Brooklyn, NY. So much fun! My country lost because of a penalty kick though #SALTY!
  • I also got to meet up with some of my sisters at a entertainment industry panel on women and the portrayal of us on reality television, Good times.

Labor day really signifies the end of summer for me. It was a great week, but I love fall! Another week and it'll be official!

Cooking With The City Girl: Thai Curry

I have a hobby, well, actually I have many. But one of my favorite things to do is take recipes from magazines and paste them in my DIY cookbook (a notebook from 11th grade lol).

I guess since this a hobby of mine, it's no surprise that I like to cook (when I'm in the mood!)

My mom bought this Thai Kitchen Thai Curry noodle but never cooked them. I found it in the cupboard, saw raw shrimp in the freezer, and fresh veggies in the refrigerator. So, I decided to combine the three and try my hand at some Thai curry!

I seasoned the shrimp with some cayenne pepper (if you like spice), soy sauce, seafood seasoning, parsley flakes, and a touch of lemon. Then I pre-chopped my veggies and just followed the instructions on the box. After about 15 minutes, voilà! You have a delicious homemade meal. It was a hit in my house, and those are some picky palate's.

Maybe I should more posts like this, possibly with some Caribbean cuisine. Let me know if you're interested in seeing wore cooking posts!

Lady In Red: MAC "Ruby Woo" Review

I've discovered a new favorite lipstick: MAC's Ruby Woo!

Being a chocolate girl, I sometimes shy away from red lipstick. Red can sometimes appear clownish on a woman of darker skin tones. A lot of the red lipstick that are made are not blue based, which is best for women with my skin tone, but Ruby Woo is!

I'm in love.

Reminisce Over Love...

Happy Friday all!

I know everyone loves summertime, but there's something about a nice hot cup of cocoa that makes everything better... Maybe it's because I am a winter baby, maybe it's because New York summers are too humid, but I'd rather be cold than hot. At least when you're cold, you can add layers to warm you up and you can cuddle!

So until that winter chill is in the air again, I'll look at this picture to remind me of the cozy times...

Here's the track for my day:

Have a great weekend!

Out & About: Cosmoploitan's Summer Splash Event OOTD

I hardly ever do OOTD's but I figured I should start doing more. After attending the Cosmopolitan Summer Splash event at the Hudson Terrace in NYC last week, I realized that was the perfect time to snap some flicks of my outfit! I'm not great at this but I'll get better *SMILE*

The event was hosted by Cosmopolitan magazine to celebrate the launch of Cosmopolitan Latina. There were free drinks by SkinnyGirl Cocktails, free manicures, free hair color clip-ins, great music, cool goodie bags and awesome people! I was even asked to take a flick so that my eyewear can be featured on a new style blog: Witness Style Blog

What I wore:

  • Skinny Jeans: Torrid
  • Top: Torrid
  • Cardigan: Thrifted
  • Glasses: Customized by me
  • Clutch: Coach

July 2012 MyGlam Bag Review

I know it's August but I have a very valid reason for doing my July review so late...
I have no computer!!!
*Cue violins* I am truly devastated people...

Any way, this month's MyGlam bag came two weeks ago, and I must say, the MyGlam team has steadily been improving their bags month by month. If you remember my scathing review of my first bag, you can recall how upset I was about spending $10 on that bag. The bag after that was a bit better but there was still room for major improvement. Now, three months later, this bag has been the best yet!

New Music: Alexandra Stan - "Lemonade"

I love music, so from time to time, I YouTube hop and check out songs/artists I've never heard of. That's how I found out about recording artist Alexandra Stan

Apparently, I'm late.

When I checked her Facebook page, I saw that she has over one million followers, won MTV Europe Music Awards "Best Romanian Act" in 2011, and won the 2012 Romanian Music Award for "Best Female Act". Upon further investigation, I found out she was the girl who sang on the popular dance track "Mr. Saxobeat"

I suspect it's only a matter of time before she penetrates the US market. Her song "Lemonade" just makes me feel good and want to dance!

Check it out after the jump and hopefully it makes you dance in your chair as you listen!

July 2012 "Glamour" Birchbox Review

I got my Glamour sponsored July Birchbox *Insert grin here*

Last month's Gossip Girl sponsored box left me on the fence about my box subscription, and although I didn't get a nail polish AGAIN, I was satisfied with the box this month. I have actually used EVERYTHING in this box- a first.

This month's box was centered around the theme of "the five senses". The goal was to stimulate Sight, Sound, Taste, Touch, and Smell. While some of the items make perfect sense, I had to work hard to fit some senses together *Giggle* But, even still, I do like my box!

Weekly Wrap-up

I haven't done one in 2 weeks because i spent them interviewing for potential job leads *fingers crossed* But have no fear, the Weekly Wrap-up is back!
  • I got my monthly Birchbox subscription and it is sponsored by Glamour Magazine. I will do a post on Wednesday.
  • My friend and I did lunch at Pazza Note in NYC on Sunday, the passion fruit margarita and tiramisu were YUMMY!!
  • I NEVER wear shorts (but you can't keep me away from a short dress lol). I tried these on at F21, and while I didn't buy them, I really liked how this top and short fit. What do you think? Should I go back and get them?
  • My friend and I decided we'd enjoy our day in Tribeca one day last week. We walked and walked until we ended up in Battery Park, and relaxed.
  • *GIGGLE* That same friend introduced me to a book called "Overcoming the Angry Vagina". After i finished laughing, I actually looked through the book and liked it. The author is a bit eccentric BUT, she has a lot of great things to say if you are in to holistic health and healing.
  • I got to enjoy two of my favorite things: Banana Pudding from Magnolia's in NYC and a dish native to my country of Grenada called Crabback.Needless to say, I was in oral heaven!

Money Matters: The Generation Y Spending Types

Although I love to blog about entertainment, fashion and beauty; I am a stickler for financial stability!

Even though I'm a year post-grad and jobless, *cues violins*, I spend a lot of my time reading financial improvement websites. Balancing the little bit of cash I have left between the bloodsucker that is Sallie Mae (I say that with LOVE) and my day to day travel expenses, I realized that the key to living comfortably is living within your means AND planning ahead.

One of my recent favorite money websites has been www.LearnVest.com. They write really great articles that are geared towords females gaining and maintaining great finances. I recently read an article titled The 6 Gen Y Spending Types: Which One Are You? and I thought i'd share it with you all!

Desert Flower: The Story Of Waris Dirie

Every once in a while, you come across a film that moves you. Last night I watched Desert Flower, a movie about the life of super model Waris Dirie, and I was touched. A lot of times people think of models as these brainless blank canvases, but a lot of them have stories that would blow your minds. Liya Kebede plays Waris; Waris means "Desert Flower", hence the name of the movie. I really like Liya as a model but she did a FANTASTIC job in this film, I never even knew she could act!

The Weekly Wrap-up

I didn't do a wrap up last week but the Weekly Wrap-up is back!
  • "Never Be Powerless"- I saw this ad on the train that featured Jay-Z and It really resonated with me! Although it means literally "powerless" (i.e cellphones/laptops), it really can be a mantra for your life.
  • As you know, I went to the A-Morir x Supra sneaker launch party in New York City. Fun times! Click the post to check out the event recap :-)
  • I have begun taking yoga! It's only for a month but it's SO MUCH FUN! Yoga is such a great workout, very challenging. I popped into Barnes and Noble one day after yoga and browsed a few of the books. I saw a book called "101 Things To Do Before You Die". It definitely gave me a few fun ideas to add to my bucket list!
  • I think I was Asian in a past life because I really love Asian food. I had Vietnamese food at this delicious restaurant called Saigon Market. I had a spicy chicken, broccoli, and rice. YUM!
  • I received my Violent Lips lip tattoos from Kelly Brown over at Masque Magazine. I'll be doing a post on them soon!
  • My mother LOVES fruit smoothies so I made an awesome smoothie this week.
Here are the ingredients: 2tbs Almond Peanut Butter, 1 Banana, 1tbsp Protein Powder, 3 Ice Cubes, 1/2 cup of Frozen Mangoes, 1/4 cups of Frozen Strawberries, 1 cup of Almond Milk. Blend and enjoy!
  • My friend, and rapper, Kyra Kane called me up and decided to treat me to a pedicure (so sweet!) We went to a place in Brooklyn called The Choi's Art Nail Spa and it was awesome! Not only did we get a pedicure; we got hot stone foot massages and neck/shoulder massages! We'll definitely be going back. BTW: I'm on Kyra's mixtape on a song called "Excited" that we co-wrote. So fun! Check it out HERE and tell me what you think.

Do you have a bucket list?

Out And About: A-Morir X Supra Skytop Women’s Sneaker Launch

On Tuesday June 26, 2012 I, along with my good friend stylist Ashley L. Dalton, was at The Wooly in NYC celebrating the launch of the bejeweled eyewear queen, and my former boss, Kerin Rose's sneaker launch with Supra!

Kerin Rose, creator of A-morir, and Supra collaborated to create the first ever Skytop for Women for the skateboarder brand. While sipping on complimentary drinks like the "Razzle" or "Dazzle", DJs Nick Catchdubs and Radio Rose spun the tunes. At every turn you could see someone of budding superstardom, such as DJ Jasmine Solano, fashion stylists Valissa Yoe and Omar Alexander, choreographer (think 'Beyonce Single Ladies') Jonte and more!

Shoegasm: ASOS Destiny High Top sneakers

I'm not the biggest sneaker head, but I can definitely appreciate a good pair of "kicks" when I need to. The other night, while surfing the web, I cam across some sneakers that made me want to forsake my Sallie Mae payments for this month.

These ASOS Destiny High Top sneakers are retailing for $58.00 and come in three fluorescent colors.

After lusting for a few seconds, I finally reasoned with myself that walking around in these beautiful babies is NOT worth a messed up credit score... Damn me and my responsible attitude!

*Giggle*

Michael Jackson: 3 Years Feels Like Yesterday...

This is a reblog. It will be reblogged and updated every year.

It's been 3 years since the LEGENDARY Michael Jackson made his way to a better place. There's STILL not a day that goes by that I don't listen to an MJ song. I fell in love with Michael the moment I heard him and that's never stopped. His passion for life, desire to make a change, and drive to be the best inspired so many. I loved him like I knew him, but in some strange way, I think we did know him.

My friend and I still hopes he is alive somewhere... relaxing. I'll keep believing that :-).

My June 2012 "MyGlam Bag" Review

I am so glad I give honest reviews! The last MyGlam Bag review I did, for the May 2012 month, was not so pretty (rightfully so). I said I would get one more bag, before I decided to keep it or chuck it, and that day came a few days ago...

The Weekly Wrap-up

Weekly Wrap-up! *Does the "Uh Oh" dance like Oprah*
  • I went to Cosi (with an awesome friend of mine) and we had S'mores! She insisted and I'm glad she did, it was yummy!
  • I went to Harlem and saw the above mural painted on the wall... I went to  college in Harlem for three years and never really noticed it until this past week. It had words like "Hope" "God" "Blessings" and "Resilience" on random spots of the mural; all words that definitely represent the history of Harlem... Coincidentally, Justin Beiber was a half block away at the Apollo. Girls were lined up for blocks!
  • I found my new favorite yogurt: Fage Total 2% Greek Yogurt w/ honey. It's DELICIOUS!
  • For the last 2 weeks, I've been kind of obsessed with Blow Pops. The green apple or cherry ones to be exact. SO GOOD! I'm sure this phase will pass, so i'm just enjoying it for now.
  • Saturday was super busy for me. I got my hair done and went to FOUR parties... I was BEAT on Sunday. The picture of my friend and I is from Party number 3. She looked super cute! I'll give you an outfit break down below.
  • I tried these ankle skinnies on at F21 and I actually liked them. I am determined to buy and wear on pair of neon bottoms this summer, wish me luck *Giggle*
  • I'm giving you a sneak peek of another piece of eyewear from my line. Thoughts?

Now, in other random news: I took off my stiletto nails and got a manicure... my baby fingers are back :-(

It's a sad day y'all...

*Giggle* Just kidding! Well... kind of!

New Video: Kat Rodriguez "Mockery"

Eyewear done by me!

A few weeks ago I mentioned the video shoot that I did with the recording artist that I co-manage, Kat Rodriguez. Well, the glamorous music video for her title track, “Mockery”, released a few days ago! The song is one of growing up in Bronx, New York with dream’s of becoming a superstar! Throughout the video, you see her transition from “Rags to Riches” to a success.

Kat Rodriguez (aka Kat) is an incredible saxophonist, singer, songwriter, arranger, and composer with an accomplished resume. As a saxophonist in Beyonce Knowles’ all female band, she has toured the world with one of the best! Kat released her debut album on May 22, 2012. The mix of R&B and Pop is one that is missing in the music industry right now. The use of live band instruments stays true to Kat’s Jazz influence, but with catchy hooks and up-tempo beats, the listener is bound to get up and dance!

50 Cent On Oprah's OWN Network

I love my grandmother, my grandfather. My grandma, I’ve always had a connection with her. I used to sit there and rub on her feet, even paint her toenails.

We all know that Oprah loves her some Jay-Z, but over the weekend, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson became the second rapper to sit down and chit chat with the talk show Queen on her OWN network.

Well, when I heard about this interview, I was a little shocked. "Fiddy" Cent has always been vocal about his opposition to Oprah, he even named his dog 'Oprah' (who Oprah referred to as "The bitch named Oprah"... pure comedy!). He always felt that she wasn't very supportive of the hip-hop movement and she didn't really have an impact on the people he made music for.

During their sit down at 50's grandmother's house (how cute!), Oprah and 50 talked in depth about 50′s childhood, life and love. I think the part that really tugged at my heart strings was when he teared up as he stood in his grandmother’s basement and reflected on the loss of his mother... y'all know how I feel about my mother *TEARS*

When I finished watching both clips, I couldn't help but want more! I like listening to him speak, it's so not what you would expect! I actually met 50 once at a XXL magazine shoot and from that moment my perception of him changed. His aura, his personality... everything is so light and positive! He was so tall and intimidating but when he opened his mouth to say hello to me, he was so gentle. I froze up and couldn't speak for a second *Giggle* He said "Aww, she's shy!" He had to grab me up to give me a hug...
Best. Hug. Ever.

The Weekly Wrap-up

Weekly Wrap-up time!
  • I spent Saturday night in Atlantic City. Although I was apprehensive about going overnight (because I don't go to gamble, I go to shop!), I ended up having a great time!
  • There was a carnival on the boardwalk and I got on some rides with my god-sister. I'll do a post on that comedic melodrama soon *Giggle*
  • I had my first "White Russian" ^___^ Won't be my last!
*No drinking if you are under age kids!
  • I also had Johnny Rockets for the first time... again, won't be my last time! Next time, i'll actually try one of their famous milkshakes.
  • I cooked dinner for my mom and friend (who had me slaving doing her hair). I made Shrimp, green beans, yellow rice, and broccoli. It was a hit!
  • Those shades are also going to be in my line. Get excited folks!
  • It's not summer in the hood if you don't have an Italian Ice... from a Spanish lady on the corner of your block! Had my first of many for the summer, Bubblegum and Blueberry=YUM!

Now, in other random news: I found out this morning that my boo, Matthew Mcconaughey, is now married to his girlfriend of 6 years (Camilla Alves).

It's a sad day y'all...

*Giggle* Just kidding! Well... kind of anyway. Congrats to the new couple! All I know is, I'd better get a move on Ed Westwick (a.k.a Chuck Bass) quick! These men are being snatched up like flies in a venus fly trap!

Have a lovely week!
